A Thousand Benefits of Oil Palm Fiber

The empty bunches of oil palm are not merely waste. After the fruit has been processed into oil, those bunches are usually stacked up, but they are processed into fiber to fill in various upholstery and sofa in the Plantation Biotechnology Research Center. They also can be used as pulp or paper raw material. A factory with the capacity 60 ton per hour yields 100 ton of bunches every day. If there are 470 factories in Indonesia, there will be 15-million ton of solid waste per year.
